EVERYDAY PEOPLE AWARD FRIDAY, MAY 4, 1984 "Everyday People," a daily presentation on 1160 KSL to recognize the extra-ordinary accomplishments of KSL listeners. Today, we recognize Corky Nowell, president of Sum-mum Incorporated, for the generous contributions he and his fellow volunteers make to the hungry people of our city. Last year Sum-mum members contributed 20-tons of vegetables to feed the poor. The 20-tons of vegetables came from the organization's farmland in South Jordan. This year a tractor and plow have been contributed to Sum-mum and Corky says the organization plans to harvest at least 100-tons of potatoes, corn and tomatoes fwhich will be given to Dr. Lowell Bennion for the Salt Lake Food Bank. Sum-mum, Incorporated is a religious organization which makes meditation wine in Salt Lake City for distribution around the world. KSL is proud to present today's "Everyday People Certificate" to Corky Nowell, president of Sum-mum.
