2006 Southern California
Development Project
Summum is looking for five to twenty acres in Orange or Los Angeles County to
develop a horticultural therapy program. We are developing this program
to provide compassionately for the specific, personalized
needs of a limited number of families who have children or relatives with
disabilities.

The philosophy of our horticultural therapy program is to provide a
serene setting in which individuals with disabilities can gain a sense of
purpose and self respect by growing and caring for plants.
Our greenhouses will foster "hands on" therapeutic activities under a
treatment team consisting of psychologists and horticulture rehabilitation
therapists.
Summum's "contemplation gardens" will serve as both an example of living
accomplishment for each individual and a place of tranquility for families.
